Baby Bump at 9 weeks

Hello everyone! I'm sorry I've been missing in action. This pregnancy is just not easy. On my first pregnancy, I was also sick. When I hit the six weeks mark, I got so sick. I've been nauseous everyday! Ugh! It's been so hard specially that I have a toddler to take care of. When I had my first doctor's appointment, my doctor prescribed me a medicine for nausea, it helps a little bit but it makes me so sleepy. Lol! I can't wait til for this first trimester to be over.

Well, today I'm nine weeks. I think it's not a baby bump yet that you see, I think I'm just bloated but I took this photo before I eat. Lol! Some of my friends that had two or more children told me that you usually show early if it's a second pregnancy. Well we will see. My bump didn't showed up til 20 weeks on my first.

Red and Aqua Wedding Cake

Last week I made this wedding cake, the theme was the color aqua and red.The bride wanted a simple cake with roses and scroll design. I usually make a sketch of the cake and send it to the client for their approval or sometime the client sends me a picture of the cake that they want. I like to create a design of my own but if the client shows me the photo, I always tell them that I will not copy the exact cake but I will make sure that it is inspired by the photo and I'll add my own touch and design.

Everything on this cake is edible. I did the flowers and are made of gumpaste.

Coral and Turquoise Baby Shower Cookies

Last week I made these baby shower cookies for a Mom-to-be who's having a girl. The baby shower theme was animal prints with coral and turquoise colors. Coral and turquoise are some of the colors that I like and they really look good together. I love the combination of these two colors.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

And it happened...

Yes! It happened! We are still in shock! LOL!

...but also excited...

She looks excited, isn't she? ha!

Superhero Cookies

Oh my! It feels like I have neglected my blog for so long. I'm so sorry for my absence. Lately, I have no motivation to write and just decided to take a little break but I'm back. It has been crazy busy out here in our household. Maybe you're thinking why am I busy since I'm a stay-at-home Mom? Nope, that's not the case. I'm a busy stay-at-home Mom! Lol! I just don't sit down here and do nothing. I have my Etsy shop which is doing good in sales plus I have my cake business plus I have been potty training my daughter which takes most of my time. I will update you all on the improvement. Well, I hope there's improvement! Lol!

Well, anyway, I have made these cookies I think three weeks ago which by the way I forgot to post. Sorry for my memory loss. It was for our local Chamber Banquet and the theme was superhero. My friend Kelley asked me to make a superhero cookies for their table. She is the best in event planning and decorating. You can check out her blog here.

I have been staying inside the house lately because the weather here in Southwest Kansas is crazy and bipolar. Just like two days ago, it snowed here. Yup! I thought spring is on its way but I don't think so. I'm ready for a warm weather. I'm ready to go out! I just feel sorry for my daughter. I wanted to bring her at the park but we couldn't. I think she's bored that I'm the only one that she can play with. Lol! She needs a play date. Some of my friends told me that it's time for me to have another baby so my daughter will have a play mate, oh well, not now. Ha! Another year maybe :)

That's it for now because while I'm writing this post, my daughter is pulling my shirt and I think she wants my attention. Lol! Have a good day everyone! :)

Valentine's Day Sweet Treats

Long time no post. I'm sorry for being MIA. It has been crazy busy. After our vacation, I decided to start potty training my daughter and I have made a few cookies and cupcake orders for Valentine's Day plus I'm also busy making new designs for my Etsy shop. I wish I'm still on vacation. Lol! Anyway, I would like to share few of the Valentine's Day treats that I made this week.

{rose cake pops}
{this was my first attempt to make the rose cake pops}

Tomorrow is not just a Valentine's Day for me, it's also a special day as me and hubby are celebrating our 4th year wedding anniversary. No plans for tomorrow because he is working but he will take me to a dinner date on Sunday {sweet!!!}.

Our Vacation in the Philippines

Hello friends! I'm back! We are back from our vacation.We had fun. My parents were so happy to see their only granddaughter. The almost 24 hours travel are all worth it. Well, it was quite an experience traveling that long with a toddler that doesn't want to stay in one place. All I can say is, I was so tired! Lol! I will share my travel experience in another post soon but for now let me share to you all some of our vacation photos.

Oh my! How I miss this place! We went to this beach and it was amazing. We don't have this in Southwest Kansas. Lol! I miss home already :(

Miss A enjoyed playing in the sand. It wasn't too hot when we were there and I put sunblock on her so she wouldn't get sunburn and look like a lobster. She stayed there for a long time and when it was time to go back at our hotel, she didn't want to go and threw a fit.

This little girl had so much fun. Lol! She liked that half of her body was buried under the sand. My sister did this and she loved it.

What a beautiful view behind us. LOVE!

This is my family. Well, this is just a few of my family. I have a big family back home!  My Dad didn't make it to the beach because he needs to work that day.

Sister, Brother, Cousins, Auntie and that weird looking little boy is my nephew. He thought it was funny to do that pose, he is eight years old.

Look at my daughter, she was so happy! That is my cousin and she likes him. She picked up some sand and threw at him and she laughed, she thought it was funny.

Here are Miss A's grandparents (my parents) on her second birthday celebration. She had her birthday party at my parents house.

Miss A and her cousin.

It was so much fun going back home again and see families and friends. I don't know when I will go back again but I'm praying it will not be too long :) Miss A got along with her cousins and family. She loved it there. She loves her "lolo" and "lola" (Filipino language for grandpa and grandma). The day went so fast that I didn't realized it was time to leave. *sad* I'm gonna miss them all.

I'm on vacation!

After two years, I get to go home! Yay! As some of you know, I was born and raised in the Philippines and all of my family lives there. I am beyond excited that I get to go home and visit them. This will also be the first time that my parents will see their granddaughter and they are excited. I will be traveling with my husband and my toddler. This will be my daughter's first travel by plane. I hope she do good because it's gonna be a long flight. It's a 24 hour flight. Ugh! I hope I survive! Lol!

{I can't wait to step on the white fine sand of this beautiful island}

I will be away for a little while and won't be blogging while on vacation but I will be back by the end of the month. I'll definitely post photos of our vacation when I come back. I'll see you soon my blogging friends :)

2013 Recap

Oh wow! I can't believe that year 2013 is almost over. Where did 2013 go? Time passed by so fast, isn't it?! 2013 has been really good to me. It was an amazing and wonderful year I would say although there are ups and downs but that's how life is. In today's post, I will share some of the highlights of my 2013.

Last January, my baby girl turned one. We had a big birthday party for her and it was fun. I got so emotional thinking that my baby is baby no more. Where did the time go?  *sigh*

This was also very special year as me and my hubby celebrated our third year wedding anniversary. We got married Valentine's Day. I know it's kinda' cheesy but it's okay, we picked out the date where everyone celebrates the love month. Lol!

Spring time was my favorite season of the year. Miss A enjoyed her first Easter egg hunting. This was her second Easter, the first year she was still so little so we didn't do it.

Summer time was also fun. We did enjoyed the warm weather. Miss A loves the water so we took out her mini inflatable pool and she loved it. I took her to our local swimming pool center in our town but she didn't liked it. She didn't want to go on the water. Well, I guess her inflatable pool is much better. Lol!

One of the highlights of my 2013 was I opened an Etsy shop for my handmade headbands and hair clips.  I opened it last June. It was a big step as I really don't know if my items will gonna sell. Little did I know, it is doing doing good! It started very slow but guess what, I reached 100 sales before  the end of the year. For some, it's not a lot but for me, it was a huge deal. You know that there's a lot of sellers on Etsy and getting y 100 sales in six months is a big accomplishment. I hope it continues to grow. *fingers crossed*

Last June, I celebrated my 33rd birthday. Eeeek! I feel old. Lol! Nothing special on that day, just spent my day with my family.

It was a very fruitful and busy year. Besides my Etsy shop, I also have a baking business and I counted the cakes that I made. I made 20 cakes this year. Too bad I didn't count the cookies I made but I'm sure it was lots and lots. Lol! Here are few of the cakes and cookies I made on 2013.

There's a lot of things happened this year, good and bad but I'm looking forward for another year. Goodbye 2013. Bring it on 2014, I'm ready! Thank you all for supporting and following my little blog.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year!

Snowman Cookies

Two more days til Christmas! Yay! This week I'm gonna be super busy as I have three cakes to make. Yes three cakes in one week and a few Christmas cookies. I'm working hard before our vacation which is in two weeks. I'm getting excited! Well, so here's the last batch of the cookies I made for this year.

Have a Merry Christmas everyone!
